NodeAxe Gamma DIY Complete Kit (Minus ASIC) – Home Soldering Edition

$99.99

A complete Bitaxe Gamma DIY kit for experienced builders: PCB, full BOM (minus ASIC), cooling, stand, and wiring — everything you need to build your own open-source miner at home, except the ASIC and 12 V power supply.

Category:

A true DIY Bitaxe Gamma build — from bare board to hashing, your way.
The NodeAxe Gamma DIY Complete Kit (Minus ASIC) is a one-stop kit for advanced DIYers who want to build a Bitaxe Gamma miner from parts, not just bolt together preassembled modules.

You get the PCB, all non-ASIC components, cooling, stand, and wiring in one box. You bring the ASIC, the power supply, and the soldering skills.

What’s included

  • Bitaxe Gamma PCB (current supported revision)

  • Full BOM of non-ASIC components, including:

    • SMD resistors, capacitors, and inductors

    • Power stage parts (MOSFETs, drivers, diodes, etc.)

    • MCU / controller (ESP32/RP2040 or equivalent, per design)

    • Headers, connectors, buttons, LEDs

  • Heatsink and fan suitable for this build

  • NodeAxe stand / mounting solution with screws and standoffs

  • Pre-cut low-voltage 12 V wiring and connectors for the board side

  • Assembly reference: BOM sheet, placement diagrams, and recommended firmware links

What’s not included

  • The ASIC chip itself – you source and prepare the ASIC (for example from your own supply or donor hardware)

  • 12 V DC power supply (we provide recommended models and wattage in the documentation)

  • Reflow / hot-air equipment and soldering tools

What you’ll do

  • Solder the ASIC to the PCB (fine-pitch SMD – hot-air or reflow strongly recommended)

  • Populate and solder the remaining SMD and through-hole components from the BOM

  • Mount the heatsink and fan, and install the board into the stand

  • Connect the low-voltage 12 V wiring between the board and your chosen PSU (board side only)

  • Flash and configure firmware using the Bitaxe project instructions and our quick-start notes

Who this kit is for

  • Experienced DIYers with SMD soldering and reflow / hot-air tools

  • Builders who want full visibility and control over every component in their miner

  • Makerspaces and labs that want a serious hardware project around open Bitcoin mining

Skill & tool requirements (important)

  • Comfortable with fine-pitch SMD soldering / hot-air rework

  • Access to a hot-air station or reflow oven and a decent soldering iron

  • Basic understanding of low-voltage DC power wiring and electronics safety

Power & safety note
We strongly recommend using an enclosed 12 V DC power supply with a standard AC power cord, and only working on the low-voltage 12 V side. Do not modify or work on the mains (120 V / 230 V) side of any power supply. Always follow local electrical safety guidelines.

If you want the Bitaxe experience without SMD soldering, check out the NodeAxe DIY Open Miner Kit (Bitaxe Gamma) – No-Solder Edition, where all the fine work and firmware flashing are done for you.

For everyone else: this is the deep end. Bring your ASIC, your tools, and your curiosity — and build your own open-source miner from the ground up.
